Copper Candelabra

I made this candelabra from bits of copper pipe and solder last year as a christmas present . I read all sorts of tips to develop a patina on it and finally a strong ammonia solution and heat did the trick for my wife only to tell me she preferred it shiny. The (not very neat) solder drips buffed up a nice silvery colour and contrasted well with the copper.

And then this week we had a power cut at dawn. Apparently it was scheduled but we didn’t get the letter. Candle lit breakfast for 5 ensued which the kids loved.
